The Gospel is good news before it becomes a boundary.

Scripture
“If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse.” — Galatians 1:9

Reflection
Paul wrote fiercely because the freedom and unity of his community were being threatened.

His warning should not become permission to curse every tradition we have not understood.

The Gospel he defended centred upon grace, liberation, reconciliation, and a new humanity in Christ.

Whenever Christianity becomes domination, prejudice, or fear, Christians themselves must ask whether the good news has been distorted.

Bahá’í teachings honour the Gospel and teach that divine revelation is renewed as humanity’s needs and capacities develop.
